I started last year with publishing facts and figures about the usage of LinkedIn globally and since then created special reports about countries such as The Netherlands (World Champion LinkedIn), Belgium and United Kingdom. Hi Jacco,

I stumbled across your page in my search to obtain statistics on Linkedin – you might be the perfect person to talk to! I am very interested in obtaining data on linkedin usage and the number of companies who post profiles in Australia. Ideally, I would like to get an idea of how many job ads are posted within linkedin.

My company has a proprietary job ads index which is a great leading indicator of the health of the labour market. We have a degree of concern about the level of substitution from posting on an official jobs board (data we use) to using social media – linked in (which we don’t have a great idea of the magnitude/trends).

Is somethign you have data on? Would very much appreciate any guidance or a chat about this data.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Savita

  2. @Savita I’m glad to help you. You can find actual data of all (paid) job ads on LinkedIn in Australia using the Advanced Job Search function. There are currently 2972 jobs advertised on LinkedIn for Australia.

These jobs are posted by 995 different companies. This data you can find using the Jobs Search page, filter on country Australia and you’ll see the number of Job Opportunities / Hiring on LinkedIn in the left menu.
