Are you curious when you created your LinkedIn profile? Via LinkedIn Settings you can view the date in the top right corner:
Did you also know that when you view your, or someone elses, profile you can see the member counter in the URL? In my case the URL to my profile is http://www.linkedin.com/profile?viewProfile=&key=254015. This means that, being registered with LinkedIn on 20 February 2004, there were more than 250K people who joined this network before I did. At this moment LinkedIn counts approximately 75.000.000 members. A brief history of LinkedIn member milestones:
- LinkedIn.com went live on 5 May 2003
- LinkedIn ends 2003 with 81,000 members and 14 employees
- April 2004: 500,000 members
- LinkedIn ends 2004 with 1.6 million members and 33 employees
- LinkedIn ends 2005 with 4 million members
- March 2006: LinkedIn reaches 5 million members
- LinkedIn ends 2006 with 8 million members
- April 2007: LinkedIn celebrates with 10 million members
- September 2007: LinkedIn reaches 15 million members
- March 2008: LinkedIn celebrates 20 million members
- October 2008: 30 million members
- LinkedIn ends 2008 with 33 million members
- 5 May 2009: LinkedIn celebrates it’s 6th birthday with 40 Million members
- LinkedIn ends 2009 with 55 million members
- August 2010: 75 Million Members
In my research I also found out that the first (active) member profile is Jean-Luc Vaillant, LinkedIn CTO, being member number 1210 (see http://www.linkedin.com/profile?viewProfile=&key=1210). Other first ‘users’ are:

1212 Lee Hower; LinkedIn Founding Team / Director of Corporate Development January 2003 – May 2004
